Piano Junior
Melissa Mostert started her piano career in Olds Alberta. She was blessed to accompany many voice students throughout highschool. As a piano major at the University of Calgary, she completed a Bachelor of Music and a Bachelor of Education.
She has 25 years experience in education and music education as a home studio piano instructor, classroom teacher at Calgary Arts Academy, choral director for children and adult choirs at the YMCA, and piano adjudicator.
Her favorite experience teaching is engaging and encouraging reluctant beginners. She uses a strengths based approach and works hard to understand the learning style and individual interests of students.
Her time is currently occupied by a growing family, and further education as she pursues a degree in Social Work. Music, however, will always be a passion and something that brings joy and fulfillment in her life.
