About Us

Our Mission Statement

The Airdrie Rotary Festival of Performing Arts promotes the appreciation of music and speech arts by organizing and operating an annual festival that encourages amateur performers and students to participate and perform in a non-competitive environment, leading toward further personal growth and excellence.

About the 2023 Festival

In our 12th year we will continue to offer the following disciplines: Piano, Voice, Musical Theatre, Strings, Speech and we are going to once again offer Classical Guitar/Ukulele. We will not be holding school bands/choir or community choir this year. We are hoping that we will welcome these group disciplines back in 2023!

Our board is busy working on planning a LIVE In-person Festival this year with a Showcase Concert!  The Festival will run March 20st– 30, 2023 and the Festival Showcase concert will be held on Saturday, April 1st, 2023.  As we are all aware, COVID is not yet a thing of the past, especially with new variants.

We will continue to follow the direction of Alberta Health Services to keep everyone safe and healthy. We will also be following the rules and regulations of our Festival Venue. Please be aware that the Polaris Centre for Performing Arts does adhere to the Restrictions Exemptions Program implemented by AHS. To learn more please visit polariscentre.ca/covid19.

As always, our festival is a non-competitive environment allowing adjudicators to focus on learning and teaching, and creating a positive environment for all who participate. Outstanding performances are recognized through scholarships and Provincial recommendations.  We look forward to seeing and hearing many amazing performances in 2023.
